Borrowed Time

In the depths of space, lightyears froms Earth, a single lonely research vessel sends out a repeated SOS message. And finally, after months of being abandoned, they're prayers are answered... by you! In Borrowed Time, take the role of a single man tasked with the recovery of the DRV Hobbes, an almost abandoned spacecraft. Learn about what it was researching before it's crew all died, avoid the mysterious alien, Subject 03227, that has come to call it home and most all, don't let your oxygen run out!

Gameplay Features

Borrowed Time is a puzzle horror game where you must attempt to blow up the ship through solving puzzles, and avoid getting caught by Subject 03227 through distraction and quick thinking. 

Audio Driven Gameplay. This game uses the directional audio of Subject 03227's music to indicate when the alien is approaching the player, creating an unsettling juxtaposition to the quiet space craft.

Diegetic UI. Featured on Employee Nimrod's back, you can see the oxygen supply slowly wittle away over time, something players should be careful not to lose track of for risk of running out before they can refill. 

Stun And Run. Use the taser to slow down Subject 03227, and run to safety. Be careful to not get caught out with it still charging.

Intrigue! Borrowed Time features mature dialogue and lore enjoyable for all adult players who enjoy tragic stories.

You Are Employee Nimrod

Skirting around death and surviving takes to the aliens infatuation with music, it's your responsibility to find a way to kill Subject 03227 before it can hurt anyone else. The music keeps it distracted and if need you have your trusty taser to slow it down, but you'll need more if you want to stop it permenantly. 

Thankfully, the deceased captain has left notes on how to blow up the DRV Hobbes and bring an end to this, once and for all.

The DISH Research Vessel Hobbes

You've been sent here by the Department of Investment Protection and Health (DISH), to recover their missing ship Hobbes. However, the notes abord here show DISH has not been treating its employees correctly, something you know all too wellgiven their limited oxygen supply for your mission. 

On your mission to recover the ship and data that was lost, you have encounter this nobler cause, to end a great threat to humanity. But each files you recover is likely able to help humanity avoid this issue in the futures, so in your haste, best to do a little research yourself.
